I brought a photo frame from tesco one of those digitals ones its technika and it not power on. In the manual there is no info on how you power the product if it needs batteries or a power lead "There is only a usb lead with it" no visible place for batteries to go.
only problem is i cant find my reciept i not sure if i picked it up when i left self service i had a good hunt aorund for it.
Is it possibe to return a faulty item without a recipet?. technika i think is tesco's own brand "i may be mistaken".
it was £25 and kind of disapointed

Without any proof of purchase you'll be relying on a Tesco goodwill gesture, which are fairly rare. It doesn't matter that it's a Tesco bramd as there isn't any prrof of when or even if you purchased it in the first place.0
-
how did you pay for it in the first place
if it was on a card or tesco's clubcard even
they can track it from that hope it helps0 -
Paid cash.I always thought that a company had to exchange a faulty item without a recipet but they could not refund.0

all i can say is try they may do they may not0

They're entitled to ask for proof of purchase.
Can you remember when you purchased it? Tesco could check their sales records and see if they sold one at that date and time, that wasn#t on a clubcard. They could check CCTV and see you entering and leaving the store.
That might be sufficient to constitute proof of purchase.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

Is it actually faulty? They don't all come with a power supply of mains or batteries, my son's one (not a Technika) is powered by the USB lead alone. In the spec for it you should be able to see if it's meant to have a mains supply but if there's no battery compartment, and no socket for a main lead to plug into then it may be USB only. And if that's the case then you can't claim it as faulty. What's the full item name/number?0

it works off of the usb but that it just says entering pc mode when disconnected will show as normal. there is no way to display anything other then that message when it is conencted via usb.
i thought the usb may charge it but that was not the case. You can hold the power button it or press it and nothing.0 -
So is there a socket for the charger then?

Is there a link to it on Tesco Direct?
Perhaps next time you are in Tesco you could ask them if there should be a charger with it?0 -
I returned a faulty item I'd bought from my local Tesco. Customer services weren't interested because I didn't have my receipt. I said I'd used my clubcard during the transaction. Didn't matter a jot. If i remebered the checkout number, the date and the time he could do something but otherwise I was stuffed.
Sod that.
I took the faulty item, Technika brand, to the electrical counter and explained the item was faulty. "No problem" said the guy behind the counter. He couldn't give me a refund but he gave me an exchange.
