Another Carer's Allowence question...

My mother, 80, receives AA middle rate, pension credit (guarantee) as well as a state pension, lives alone.
I may be entitled to CA due to my earnings, if I am entitled to CA, would this cause her to lose any of her entitlements?
Thanks

It's a premium added to pension credit. The law says that someone claiming AA 9either rate) needs to live on more money than someone who doesn't claim AA.

The Severe Disability Premium (known as an additional amount for Severe Disability under Pension Credit) can be payable for either rate of Attendance Allowance. The lower rate of AA is equivalent to the middle rate of DLA.
