Dell Monitor breaking

Hi all,
Please help. I bought a new Dell Inspiron laptop in January. Last night my wife passed me the laptop and the screen broke inside. Not cracks on the outside.
I contacted Dell support as i took out a two year warranty. They asked me to send some pictures of the problem. They have looked at the picture and have said it must have been dropped or exerted too much pressure on it. Which did not happen I had one hand on the base and two fingers on the side of the screen but not too much pressure.
They will not fix the problem and as i didn't take out accidently damage cover they say I have to pay for it which will cost £222 (the computer on cost £375).
I have tried going to the highest manager and he says no. please help as i can't afford £222.
Thanks in advance

I can't offer any posative advice here with regards to Dell but you may be able to make a claim on your house contents insurasnce if for instance you sat on it by mistake or a child bashed it with a hard toy......;)
Good LuckSome times the way forward is back. There are allways two sides to every story unless a third is added.
