i went in to my local store to buy one today, yesterday they only had two but today they have over 15, my store was the new big superstore in Hayes (lombardy retail park), if anyone is close by and wants one, thats the place to go.

this store seems to be getting a lot of stock, they had a few when i went in there last friday. It's nice again now they've added all the extra bits in there, much better than the tescos nearby
  • Thank you OP, My mum works at Sainsbury's so she asked them to keep one aside for her when they got some in, Apparently they were coming in, in dribs and drabs. She got one a week ago for me with staff discount too, Very happy and my son is going to be too, he thinks he's getting a ps2 as i had said no way to a ps3 because of the price, But at such a good price I succumbed as we will all use it anyway to watch films etc... :)

On the John Lewis description it says not compatible with PS2 games, can anyone confirm this?

Yeah, the new slim consoles are not backwards compatible.

Does anyone know when this promotion ends?

I visited my local store (East Kilbride) yesterday and they had one in stock, but they told me the offer finished on 30th September.

I have emailed Customer Services to find out why some stores are still selling this (as of 2nd October) but others aren't.
