up north we say 'if you dont ask you dont get' so i just ask nicely, show interest in the products and it does help that i do actually buy lancome and clarins, if you do buy some of teh ranges make sure you buy all around the place (theres about 11 of each of these counters near me) so the sa's know your face and will give you new stuff to try every time you pop in even when youre not buying anything, also only buy when its gift time and if you have a clarins near you with a red room you can get a card to collect 5 mins per £20 spent to redeem on free treatments. if you dont buy teh stuff but the counters are in a shop like boots where you can buy anything and pay for it at any till take your lunch or magazine or whatever to the beauty counter to pay and ask about new product launches and ask for samples whilst youre there. always keep an eye out on here for vouchers you can redeeem for freebies and take a voucher to each counter near you not just one (if you have to put a name on it you can have some fun thinking up silly pseudonims!) once you get a bit of practice you will be fine, it gets better and easier as you keep trying! now i go round all over the country gathering things and selling them on ebay, means i dont have to get a part time job whilst im at uni- i shop for a living! hehe! oh noooo, my flight to Tokyo is early morning on the 25th

I've started learning a few words in Japanese. First word I looked for was "sample"......hinagata, sanpuru or mihon :rotfl:

Went shopping today and got the Chanel mascara, L'eau D'issey perfume sample, and Vera Wang Princess perfume sample.:T

p.s. keep an eye out on clarins counters for square clarins mens leaflets (theyre made of card really!) that are dark blue with a white question mark on the back, on teh front is a sample youve 'won' whcih you can collect from any clarins counter. i got 9 today from bolton boots but theres loads left
