Free Motorola L6 from Tesco!


Well i've had a very successful trip to Tesco this morning!

Firstly, noticed FINEST fruited Flap Jacks 4pk on the ISB were SEL 0.99p and so was the POS, but the labels on the packs were printed £1.39. Bought 5, sure enough wrong price, went to the CSD, and had all of my money back, plus 5 packs of flapjacks! mmm!

Secondly... noticed that the Virgin Motorola L6 pay as you go mobile was the only one with a white ticket. All the others had yellow tickets, and the 10% off deducted already. (there is a promo on at the moment which says 10% off all PAYG mobiles)

Bought it (at a different store), said to the checkout girl, 'does that include my 10% discount?' (knowing it didn't) She said i'll just check...

Comes back 10 minutes later, and says, oh sorry, we had an issue with that phone, but i'll give you your 10% back (£6.99)

So I said to her... you needn't bother, i'll have the whole lot back thanks, as this is your refund policy. She said.. NO. We dont do it on high value stuff, to which I said.. get me the manager!

She comes back with no manager, saying he's in a meeting, and has told her to give me the full amount on this occassion! ha ha! I knew I wouldn't leave without my money and the phone!

so sure enough, I left with my refund slip, and new mobile! Thank you Tesco! £79.99 for nowt!

its the sony ericsson J230i it is a white and green box and the picture shows it with headphones on the front on the side of the box it says smooth black gsm/gprs 900/1800
on the website you included it is at the bottom row left and has a price of £59.99 on the o2 network

Xbox 360 £279.97 Godfather game £39.96 total £319.93 no £20 discount

Got the game, paid, collected the console, left the store, came back in. Main CS desk saw me with the box and sent me to the electrical CS desk. CS staff called deputy manager who offered me £20 back "so I got the game free", declined his kind offer. He got the store manager, who said "it was an IT problem". Mentioned the offer was for the game and the console when purchased together, the manager had the Game of the week poster in his hand. Kept calm and was polite, and restated the offer was for the Console and the Game together as a package. I had been overcharged for the package. Manager caved in, he said "the customer was overcharged, he is right".

Refund £319.93

My 1st Major R&R in Tesco Osterley

Motorola L6 SEL £69.99 no 10% applied!

After almost an hour, where we started of with 'The phone isn't on the 10% off flyer'. So, I explained that it said 'Examples' at the top of the back of the flyer, the front said 10% of ALL PAYG! Next onto a Supervisor who couldn't get hold off a manger, eventually found section manager who offered me £6.99 saying that she wasn't agreeing with me but as a sign of good faith would give me 10% back.

I asked for a senior manager who came along and agreed with me, I got my £69.99p

Hi all, got 6 packs of 300g KP Peanuts where both white 94p sel and yellow 99p sel was up - why do Tesco's think they can charge more for 20% extra 'free' packs.....
Also got two boxes of Mingles with both 2 for £6 and 2 for £5 sels up side by side.
Cs lady was lovely in Dunstable, didn't want to see SELs, just gave me my money back and said she would get someone in pricing to look at it - came over from tobacconists so maybe she never bothered, several boxes left for other lucky MSE'ers
