Can I Have a Deceased Website Link Directed to my own Website?

A rival company has ceased trading and their weblink is now dead.

I would like to have anyone trying to access their website directed to mine.

Is this possible?

What is the process?*

*(In lay-man's terms.... thanking you kindly).

Who Is? won't give me the option of ".co.uk" in the search.

The domain name was re-newed in March 2010, months after the company stopped trading. The domain name is registered to a web designers called Infotech247. I guess my next move would be to contact them and ask to buy the domain name from them, but I have a feeling they will hold me to ransom... Nothing ventured..........

If it was renewed, then it's theirs til it expires; if they only did one year then you should be able to pick it up next march unless they renew again. In terms of ownership, they can sell it for whatever they like - good luck!
