Paypal Balance Not Being Used :S

i have £30 in my paypal, and i want to buy this from ebay at $66, but it wants to take it all off my card.. whys this?

    The balances are treated quite independently if they are in different currencies. I currently have a high dollar balance but when i buy on ebay.uk it will not use it.

    it's a $ payment but you have a £ balance. They are different.

    Click 'more funding options' and you can pay (partly) using the £
