Titles when posting a thread

It has taken me looong time to pluck up courage and to find the right place to post....so please be gentle!
I cannot for the life of me seem to get my titles to threads to appear in capitals or bold ( like every other MSE' er!) .I think I've managed it a few times but can never seem to get it to work. Even when I try to re-edit, it doesn't appear to work..
I do realise that I am a complete nellie when it comes to (simple) technical things-but I admit it !
I would really appreciate somebody telling me how to do it.x

Firstly, putting titles in CAPITALS IS VERY BAD FORM.

Secondly, people don't 'put' titles in bold. The title is sometimes bold to indicate that there are unread posts in in since your last visit to that sub-forum.

Thankyou very much for replying! Ermmm...so when you are writing a title -do you not have to mess about changing your font to aerial black/setting your font size and colour ? Sorry, I did warn you I was a nellie-hadn't realised that bold titles were ones that I hadn't read.....:o:A

AFAIK, there is very little you can do in the title field, no colours, font sizes, smileys or general mucking about.

There is a small selection of icons you can add to your title, as I have just demonstrated.
