Yes, I cannot see a problem with that. They will be duty paid in Spain so providing you keep your receipt and stick to the "recommended" limits you will not have a problem. I also cannot see Tenerife having any limit on imports from Spain. I would not worry at all.0

That would seem very complicated given that the Canaries are a couple of hours flying time from Spain. If you want to stock up on cigarettes it would make more sense to travel directly from the UK to somewhere with cheaper tobacco than Spain.0

a few years ago, my mother went to turkey with some friends and during that period travelled over to greece for a day trip, and bought some greek cigarettes (duty paid), and took them back into Turkey. Then, flying back into the UK were stopped for being over the limit, even though she only had her 200 duty free limit, with the rest being duty paid. ALL the cigarettes were taken off her, and were never seen again.
So not exactly sure of the exact ruling (perhaps you are not allowed to mix), but thats what happened in my mothers case, so just be careful.I used to be a Travel Agent Used to be a travel agent for 23 Years, but now out of the industry. However I will help with what i can.0

this is just the same as coming back from gibraltar, where you have bought ciggies in spain.
you have to pay any import duty from spain, then further duty into the uk which makes it a no go.
i do have some customs details on this somewhere, but not top hand.
bottom line is you are only allowed to bring back 200 cigs from the canaries, and uk customs target these flights as they know people will try to bring back more0

Without realising the limit a friend some months ago bought a load of cigars in the Canaries. However his flight back was 2 point to point flights (i.e. like Ryanair & Easyjet sell), Canaries to Madrid and Madrid to UK rather than a through ticket. When he got to the UK he was asked where his flight had come from and he said Madrid and they let him through. Obviously if they had asked were he had bought the cigars from he would have had a problem.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
