Switching Utilities

I have read many reports on who is the best provider for my utilities ( meaning Gas / Electric / Telephone.
Many people refer th this company called the Utility Warehouse. I believe that this company is backed by a PLC & run by the guy who set up " Peoples Phone ", then sold this to Vodaphone. I wonder if that is what he intends to do the same with the Utility Warehouse then sell it on to another Utility supplier....
I would like to know from Martin what he thinks of this Utility Supplier.
I have tried to reasearch this company but all i seem to get is become a distributor and have the potential of high earnings...( looks like pyramid selling to me )

Hope you can help..

I do not work for this company and have no previous dealings with them.
i'm just looking for an honest opinion of the company and its services.

I think there are loads of threads on them if you search. Never come up as any good for me in the various switching sites....
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!

    Welcome to MSE.

Clasics is right, there are loads of threads relating to UW on here. There is a specific dedicated one...

If you are looking for unbiased information on the company your best bet is the financial sector. You are right about the background so far, as to whether Charles Wigmore will sell on to another Utility provider, who knows. As with all PLC's, if successful, they will always be a target for the shrewd investor.

As regards pyramid selling, that is illegal. They are a MLM (multi-level marketing) company. As a distributor, you can earn a good living without having to recruit others to do the same. What they offer can be seen and compared with other companies in the same sector.

You will see from the threads, there are supporters and detractors, like all the providers. The best advice I can give is to find out what you can and make a judgement on that. At the end of the day, we can all switch around regularly. The market is very competitive and there should always be deals available that suit your personal circumstances.

    Good luck in your quest.
