Car "accident" advice

I had a minor scrape with another car today. Not too worried about my car and other car had a scratch on a door panel. I have 3party protected no claims cover and other driver sais he is insured. We swapped details. We each claimed the other is at fault.

My attitude is it was 50:50 and not worth pursuing. What should I do? Contact my insurer, contact the police or can I do nothing hoping that they too will realise it isn't worth following up?

No need to contact police unless there is any personal injury involved.

Irrespective of what the third party does, you need to inform your insurer of the incident (under the conditions of your policy). If you don't intend claiming, make sure they note this.
