Fitflop boots

  • Hi, no, not sorted. Spoke to Fitflop UK. They actually asked me to send pictures of my toes (a lovely sight!), so have emailed them off. Wonder if it will get me anywhere. My left little toe is not getting any better, am going to splash out on a chiropodist today, maybe should send them the bill.

My boots are the shorter Mukluks in this season's "smoky grey". The woman in the office said that they had "upgraded" the material this season. But as you say, although sole size is the same the boots are narrower with less room at the top. And you can never really tell in the shop, I find.

Despite the fact that the shop said that I couldn't take them back because I didn't take the box (and now presumably they'll say because they have been worn), I am hoping that Fitflop will help me with this. Pain isn't much of a result for £135, and certainly I can't wear them again.

The pair you got in July will be the old stock, which I can't find for love or money. So no probs with those. It's the new season's stock which is the problem. Glad the Electras too are OK.
  • I so want some of the Superboots in black - they'd look fab with my jeans. Think if I do get them, it'll be at Boots as at least I'd get 500 advantage card points too! :j

im so excited and happy everyone is talking about fitflop as there were only a few of us for the past years.. so this would mean a lot of people will be searching for it therefore more feedbacks and sharing...

i agree when people talked about it becoming narrower. the sandals that i purchased years back in a size 5 is bigger than the sandals i bought recently although the quality has improved in my opinion.

i managed to get short mukluk from mastershoe myshu.co.uk around last month when they were doing the 20% off pre order. i bite the bullet and ordered my size as i know these sells like hot cakes as i missed it last year and could not get it even in US and the great thing was quidco cashback paid me £16.20. so all in all i got my boots for £91.79. im well chuffed! by the way, i posted it here and grabbit forum but everyone were into the sandals during that time... i am now looking for the super boot tall leather as i just tried it instore the other day and it is not bad as i think as my pins is not that long im only 5'4. leather is very soft and looks great even with short pins and comfortable as well even when sitting down as it does hit the back of my knee if im hiring long boots. better than inuk imo.

at mastershoe myshu.co.uk thru quidco they have a promotion at the moment :
£10 off any order valued over £100
+ you will earn up to 5% cashback at Mastershoe & Myshu

    OR

£15 off any order valued over £150
+ you will earn up to 5% cashback at Mastershoe & Myshu

    £189.99 long super boot
    15.00 less over £150
    8.74 5% quidco
    ________

£166.24 if my math is correct

Hi, how do you get the £10 off? I've gone through Quidco, and can't see where the discount applies, is there a code or something?

Sorry, probably being a thicko, I just can't work it out :o

  • Hi I'd like a pair of the short fitflop leather boots I think and I am intending to buy online. The only problem is that I can't find a pair to try on! I have tried the suede fluffy lined ones on and i am a uk6 which is my usual size.

Do you think that I will be a size 6 in the leather boots as well and also can anyone tell me what the leather boots are lined with. Is there any sheepskin lining?

    Thanks for any advice:)

I have tried both on, the sizing is the same in both sheepskin and leather.

They have no fluffy insole on the feet which I think is why they are able to look smaller then their Ugg Australia/Emu/etc comparison (but I just stick an insole in there anyway!! They say it reduces/negates any health benefits but I don't believe they do give any real health benefits, the body adjusts to whatever you throw at it and I've been wearing Fitflops in the summer and will be in the winter, plus I think my gym usage outweighs any benefits they may offer).

I'd go with the size 6 if I were you.

Having said that, they do advise a no shoe policy but I'm not so sure I'd go with that with the leather type, I'd be too worried about my feet sweating. Whilst sheepskin does a good job of naturally deoderising I'm not so sure leather alone would offer the same benefits so you may want to consider how socks may change this. If your socks are pretty thin then maybe its all fine but if you wear the chunky type and the size 6 are really very tight it may be something to think about.

Sorry if I've confused you more!!

im size 5 in mukluk and i tried the superboot leather in size 5. fits me well in my opinion. i really wanted to have one but cannot afford it :( so i just try it everytime i passed by my local shop :p

is sheepskin lining the thick furry one?? then no. it has no sheepskin lining/ its just like an ordinary leather boot. hope that helps.

but they are actually so much tighter that they have crushed my little toes.

If you don't get anywhere with Fitflop, why don't you sell them on ebay, as only worn twice, at least you'd get some money back for them then.
