Claim compensation for accident at work - best company to use

Hi, 3 weeks ago I had an accident at work it was only a slip in a kitchen however my ankle, and foot remains very sore. I didn't really want to claim compensation however my colleague was saying you have nothing to loose and it shouldn't of happened so you should get some compensation.

The doctor is aware of the accident and so are the hotel (it was noted in the accident book - see topic).

My question is, there are so many of these accident claim groups around which is the best to go for? I saw one in the city today I was tempted to go and ask them but I didn't. If any one could give me some advice.

Thank you

Just get on with your life and you will avoid being labelled an ambulance chaser.

You said yourself, it was only a slip so just move on and stop listening to water fountain stirrers.

Those accident claim groups are like vultures, if you go to one of them you won't be employee of the month at your place of work. They will be looking for the first excuse to give you your P45. But if you want to be an ambulance chaser you could try asking your work to see if they will give you any money for your accident.

Are you in a union? If so, they will be able to put you in touch with a solicitor who will advise you of the chances of making a successful claim. If not, most personal injury solicitors will offer an initial consultation free of charge.

sounds like your claim is worth squat, sore ankles don't really warrant a payment. that said you could claim, and contribute to higher insurance premiums, lower salaries, more red tape and more hassle for the rest of us, whilst abusing your employer, making it more likely you'll be placed on the 'to be discarded' list and feed vulturous claims management companies. All in all, the cmc lawyer gets a new merc, you get £16.50.
