Fed up with Ebay - Is there anything I can do about this?

OK.. I have to let of steam and see what others think about this..

I have been trying to sell a few No7 Boots items on Ebay, Firstly I listed them using descriptions copied from the Boots website :o I wasn't completely au fait with the T&C's on that respect and I was in the wrong so fair enough, they removed them under VeRo

I took the Ebay tutorial and amended my listings to include my own descriptions and used my own pics & again earlier this week they were removed under VeRo.

I re-took the tutorial and re-listed my items again yesterday, this time with just the name of the item and a picture (my own pictures) and starting price of 99p, p&P costs and lo and behold they've been removed again today.

I'm peeeed off now and don't know whats wrong with my listings.. They are all genuine items and the only thing I can think of is that they now are watching my account closely and just taking all my listings off as I re-list.
However, I do have 2 other Boots items and those listings are not being removed.

There are absolutely loads of people selling the same things I am and their listings are still there!!

I just don't understand - HELP!! its driving me mental. Any ideas why this is happening?

As for your problem, I would contact ebay and ask them, think that's the only way you are going to find out to be honest :(

Hope you get it sorted, i've sold lots of no7 things with no problem so not sure why that is happening to you

Many companies protect their brand image by refusing to allow unauthorised agents to sell on their behalf. If Boots No 7 are registered with VERO then it is obvious they are one of those companies.

There will be many listings that breach VERO rules, however that doesn't mean they are allowed. Usually what happens is that a major seller will have turned you in as they don't want the competition, people selling the odd one or two pieces won't be seen as competition so won't get reported.

As your also breached copyright in your original auction the people acting for No 7 will almost certainly have you as a watched seller now and will automatically get ebay to close your auctions next time you list. Usually you only get about 3 warnings before you get suspended so you have been lucky so far, probably best not to relist and endanger your account.

  • Hiya - yep its me! :rotfl:

I don't quite know what the problem is either. I've sold dozens of No7 items before too. I think as Soolin said someone must have turned me in for competing with their sales and now I'm being watched.
The only thing I can think is, that it is the use of Boots No7 in the listing that they are objecting to but without that I probably wouldn't get much interest in the auctions anyway

I'm cheesed off with ebay anyway lately its gone right downhill for me since the postal changes kicked in.

I've contacted Ebay and asked them why my auctions have been pulled this time but I don't think I'll be re-listing them again. I just got to over 1000 feedback so I wouldn't want to lose my account.

Thanks for you answers guys - much appreciated.
