Great news - and I'm just posting this to give others worrying about an upcoming entry date a bit of hope - had an appointment with mortgage advisor at HBOS on Friday. Decided to give the Abbey up until Monday to see if I heard back from them. Monday evening still no word from the Abbey so left a message with the mortgage adviser at HBOS to proceed. Phone call from her yesterday morning (Tuesday) asking me to provide bits and pieces of paperwork (Home Report, evidence of my bonus) - just had a call from her today to say it has been approved and the paper work is on it's way out to me for signing. Can't believe it! Basically a 2 day turnaround. Very happy indeed. Still not a word from the Abbey or the IFA one way or the other. Unfortunately, it's not a great deal I've got but what I do have now is peace of mind and a lot of confidence in HBOS's service!0
