Is a new external door a claim on your contents or building insurance?

My home insurance is up for renewal so I'm looking at quotes, and I need to declare that 2 years ago I made a claim for a new door, because the old one got kicked in my some kids.
What I don't know is where it was classed as a contents claim or a building claim. I can't remember what I put last year, and just wondered what you guys thought. Technically the door is part of the building, but could it also be classed as an item in the house? Is this a stupid question?
