Hi,
Thanks to this board, I have realised that I need to upgrade the RAM on my HP Pavilion desktop computer from 256MB to 384MB or possibly 512MB in order for Windows XP to run swiftly. However, I cannot discover which HP Pavilion model I own (in order to ascertain whether I can upgrade, or to what extent I can upgrade). Under Properties, and on the outside of the actual unit, I am simply told that my computer is a Pavilion. I lost the instructions ages ago. Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks a lot.

Run the above, it'll tell you what you can do in terms of memory upgrade."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Personally I would use cpu-z http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php and then google the motherboard it says you have.
I just tried that crucial tool told me that I had on board gfx and to upgrade to an agp gfx card, when I am running 7800gt as pci-e. It may work for you, but it did not for me.0 -
To find out your model:
Click Start - Run - type msinfo32 in the Open box and click OK.0 -
I've got a HP Pavilion right next to me that I've been fixing. The model no is on the front of case right near the bottom, near where it tells you the specs. This one is a t150.uk. Does yours have that info on the case?0
