How long for EA to chg price on web?

i know it depends how big/small they are, but generally how long should it take an EA to chg the price of your hse on their website?

persuming it needs to be changed on theirs first before RM can pick it up?

is 24hrs to short?

    About 5 minutes?
  • I guess it depends on availability of staff with sufficient knowledge/skills to amend the web prices. I would have thought it should definitely be done in 48 hours - that way alternative arrangements should be possible should the normal 'updater' be off sick for example.
  • I'd expect it to be pretty instant on their own site, once a new price is agreed they should change all advertising asap. Right Move usually updates at midnight.

  • I will warn you now. If you think a drop will have an immediate effect, it won't.
  • I know what you mean! Our house has just been put on the market - had all the pictures done on Friday, had the completed EPC and the floor plans done at the weekend. Took EA until Tuesday am to get it on their website and until Tuesday pm to make it onto RightMove. The wait drove me nuts - I kept checking and checking all throughout Monday and Tuesday, which is silly when it only took 24 hours or so in the end. Selling is a very frustrating and stressful business.

    Good luck with the sale!

My EA told me it would update on RM at midnight. They neglected to let me know which day at midnight it would happen!

Had it with one of ours last year. They put it on at the wrong price to start with. Kept updating it, Rightmove would follow but the next morning Rightmove was showing the wrong price again! Happened every day for three days, then we sold it :D
