Should i switch?? help needed

Ive just had a chap at my door telling me that my gas and electic supplier (southern electic) put service charges onto my bills and looking at them it is correct, he also told me that i couls swap to BG and my bills would drop and also that they are dropping their prices and i could have them capped ....

Is it a good idea to go to BG or stick with who im with he also offered savings if i pay by DD im so confused now ! aaggrhhhhhhhh
