How do i tackle mbna ?

Hi All,
Need some advise please.I have managed to sort out 3 of my debts and have cleared the arrears on them and started making regular payments. I owe £10,091.27 on my Mbna cc, which I have made a token payment of £100 and sending a cheque today for £200. I have done a soa and this amount I can pay each month. But I am £654 in arrears and cannot clear that. I should be able to pay a small amount each month of the arrears approx £30 but that is it there is no more money. Mbna have constantly harrassed me , using another company called Aegis based in Mumbia ! however Mbna have never informed me that they were passing the debt on to this company !
My plan was to send a cheque to Mbna with a letter and soa explaining this is what I can afford which is just above the expected monthly payment and could they reduce or stop the interest tempory inorder for me to catch up so to speak. I believe they put the interest up to 26.6% when I defaulted. What would be your best advise please

Refuse to answer security questions if they phone - works everytime.
Report them to the OFT & trading standards as well.

    evidently better than your effort...

If MBNA have passed the debt on then I am not sure there is anything you can do about it. Have you called them to check if this debt has been passed on?

I have owed MBNA money for about 8 months now and the debt has not been sold, they did harass me so i changed my phone number. Now they have no choice but to comply with my request for communication by post.

Its mostly those who have the best interests of the debt/finance industry at heart that find my advice "dubious" as it could effect the profits of the industry....

Now now...cut out the personal insults to posters otherwise you will be reported.
Anyway firstly - it helps the OP as it puts a stop to the harassment for starters, if the OP doesnt answer security questions then the call cannot proceed.
The OP has stated how much they are struggling & how much MBNA wont accept that - which is typical of these wretched companies.
So in effect..they shoot themselves in the foot & their greed gets the better of them.
The OP then ends up on forums like this out of desperation - were they will get told how it really is & not what the industry wants them to know.
