Tesco car insurance - how do I earn clubcard points on my policy?

Hi all,

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction:

I have car insurance with Tesco and have done for the last 3 years. I pay monthly.

I have a clubcard with Tesco (not a credit card, just a normal clubcard).

Is it possible to earn clubcard points on your car insurance? If so, how can I link the two together?

Thanks.

From past experience of how this works. When you take out a NEW policy with them, they ask for the clubcard number and if any points are available, then Tesco will credit your account with the points, about a month or so after.

I don't recall seeing any points for renewing policies.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

Thanks for the reply. I did it online when I first got the car insurance and there wasn't any mention of a clubcard then. Do you know if it's possible to add the clubcard on later?

How frustrating, I've missed out on 3 years of points! :(

They do give points on monthly (or annual) payments. 1 point per £2 spent on insurance.

See if you can now get your card associated with your policy. Their card cs number is:0800591688
