TALK TALK - V Unhappy

We have Talk Talk Plus (was Pro) which until now has been ok, though it has never reached it's promised 24 meg connection speed. My problem with them is that in July, my phone bill showed a charge of £33.99 for a call allegedly made from my home phone to a local number, the call exceeding 10 hours! The number listed is not known to my wife or me - there is no one else at our home who could have made the call, and for at least 8 of those hours we were in bed. As soon as I got the bill I rang to query it and spent over 48 minutes to someone in Manila. They gave me a reference number and promised to investigate - outcome? Nada. I have been back in touch with Talk Talk by snail-mail and email, to no avail. Any advice anyone?

    It's not a promised 24MBps, it's up to 24 MBps.
What speed are you getting and what speed does your line support?

this is about a 10 hour phantom phone call.

OP can you contact the Telecom ombudsman?

Do you have a paper trail to show you have made contact but talk talk don't want to talk talk..

They will not be interested until you have exhausted the complaints procedure with TT. Which you haven't as yet.

Thanks macman, you're right of course. Currently I'm getting about 11MBps but the point of the moan was the phantom phonecall and the TT response to my contact with them:)
