How do I exchange foreign coins?

I have a load of foreign coins which I probably won't ever get the chance to use and would like to exchange them for GBP. All the currency exchange companies only accept notes (as far as I'm aware) and any internet searching just suggests giving the money away. I found a site called 'cash4coins' but I don't think they are running any more as I can't get any info from the website.
Anyone know anywhere?

I think at some of the cross channel ports and/or on board some ferries there are machines that will change euro coins.
Otherwise unless you can find a friend who wants them you are stuck with them.
Most charities will take them off your hands.
The lack of contact information on the cash4coins website is highly suspicious - it just doesn't compute0 -

That may not compute but the 55% commision does. You'd be better off (not financially) just donating them to charity. The lack of contact information on the cash4coins website is highly suspicious - it just doesn't compute:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Thomas Cook buy 1 euro and 2 euro coins.0

That begs the question, "How do the charities cash them in:question:"

If they are euros and you deliver free of charge i will,
as long as they don't go over Ryanairs hand luggage weight.Be good to the young on their way up you might need them on your way down.0 -
Thanks for the Euros offer but I can keep them for the future. Its just various other coins that I would like to exchange (Japanese Yen, Polish Zloty, Egyptian Pounds). There isn't a big amount of them but altogether, I could get a few quid. I don't mind a bad exchange rate, it's better than sitting in my house doing nothing.0

Just a suspicion that many of them land up with scrap metal merchants.0 -
As per the above poster, eBay may serve you well.
At work we have an intranet that has loads of posters/readers, always managed to buy and offload any currency on there!0
