File sharing over wifi using print server

What I'm trying to do is share both a printer and an external HDD over my WiFi connection.

The printer is easy, I have a Belkin wireless print server - F1UP0001. I have plugged my USB printer into the print server and shared it across my WiFi network. So far so good, all my PCs and Laptops can connect to and print to it.

The Belkin has two USB ports, so I thought I'd try to hook up a HDD to it, via a HDD caddy. Ultimately seeking to share this HDD over the WiFi also. But it didn't work.

As many people I have a fair few HDDs lying around, so was trying to save the expense of purchasing a NAS.

Does anyone know how I can configure my Belkin to allow this?
