Best Joint Current Account Please?

I am looking to open a joint current account for my wife and me so that we can pay our bill money in, please can anyone let me know who is about the best at the moment.

Alliance and Leicester - it's got a good interest rate for a current account, you get a savings account with it too and the overdraft facility is good. It's all online and if you apply it is all sorted very quickly. Open it through Quidco and get a £50 cashback too.

I'm with Smile, which is mainly internet based, but you can use Co-Op bank as a "branch" if you need to.

I've only used the branch once to pay cash in, the cash was credited instantly.

You can pay in by post and at some post offices as well.

Actually, not wishing to be pushy, but I've just seen that if I refer someone for the A&L current account, both parties receive £50 in their accounts. If you want me to refer you for the free cash drop me a PM.

Thanks for the reply, I have a savings account with Alliance and Leicester and find them quite good, but I cannot find a link for a normal joint account.

Sandeze - we just went through the normal application process but applied in joint names, there was no problem.

MascaraMinx, thanx for your reply but the only current account I can see on the website is the premier account and you have to put in at least £500 a month which is not good for us.
