  • Hi.....it could be at your local sorting office as Posties don't always leave a card. Also do as seller says and get back in touch...it would be fair to allow a bit longer but after a reasonable time ask for a full refund....if the seller refuses or any problems, start a claim through Paypal.....this is just my opinion of what i would do.
Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D
  • Dealing with zero and single digit feedback people often has this result. That's what eBay feedback is for -- to check their past performance.

Do a Paypal *item not received* claim as soon as you can.
  • As per luvvlyjubbly, check your local delivery office and then get back to the seller.

They should refund you but as they are new they may not realise. You have 45 days from date of purchase to open a dispute in Paypal, so you can afford to give the seller one last chance.

Whereas reliable sellers start with loads of feedback? Don't know about you, but I started with none.

Nonsense and bluster probably. They will be asked to prove delivery with online tracking. Ask them for a tracking number (normal 1st/2nd class doesn't have one of course) and see what happens. A number can be checked on the Royal Mail site. The onus is on the seller to show delivery so keep your claim open.

They may have tracking and it may show as delivered, but to the wrong address. Ask them for the tracking details if they have any and make sure that they aren't just bluffing you. It seems odd that they would tell you the item has arrived if they didn't have tracking.

I escalated the claim and received this from paypal
The seller has responded to our request for tracking information. We
haven't confirmed the tracking information yet but wanted to share the
    seller's response with you.

    Tracking Company: Royal Mail
    Tracking Number: none

so it was bull when they said they could see it was delivered .

Ring paypal and tell them seller has left false tracking info, they will likely close the case in your favour at that point as the seller can't provide tracking.

This has happened to me twice; seller put a false number in and one just post 'cert of posting'.
