A top British fund manager, Neil Woodford, has said that UK house prices will fall by 5 percent to 10 percent for the next 3 years.

For those who do not know who he is he is considered one of the best fund managers in the UK and whilst you might not agree with him on house prices, I think it is important to hear what he is saying.

    This is not financial advice

There is no reason they will stop falling in 3 years time. Especially if they only come down 30% in that time.

Also, I could be making mad, passionate love to Keira Knightley every night for the next 3 years. You can't always get what you want.

that's only if you get in-built inflation - unlikely in your case.
    deflation is more likely :)

Ha ha I think you will find your on your own if you think the bubble will inflate another 30% the next 3 years.

At least the 30% crash is based on sound reasoning and many leading economists agree.

Can you find anyone who agrees with you that the bubble will inflate another 30%? Not including crackpots on here, Im talking about someone respected?

if you actually watched the original interview he doesn't even mention the 30% house price falls. it's a nice bit of creative journalism

you're 36 Element - you should know that you shouldn't believe everything that is written in the press.

Its not really an argument to disagree with all the reasons why house prices will fall.
"you shouldn't believe everything that is written in the press."

Yes that true but is that your reason for disagreeing with all the reasons everyone is saying the house price bubble is popping?

it wasn't the point at all, it's your selective interpretion of it - the argument was that he never said it and you should listen to or read the actual interview to find out before listening to creative jounalism...

i've also said that i haven't got a clue what the future holds, you're saying that they are going to fall.

don't worry some little chap will be along in a minute to back up your 'reasoned' argument.
