Best brands of intergrated dishwasher and washing machine?

We currently have Bosch for both but we're having a new kitchen and want them intergrated. Have had no problems with Bosch but I've been told they're not made in Germany anymore and quite as well made as they used to be.
Is this the case and if so what brands would you recommend?
Looked a Miele dishwasher but they don't offer decent guarantees on intergrated appliances.
Thanks

I've got a Miele washing machine and it is absolutely fantastic!
It cost me £500 about 5 years ago, and I've never had a problem with it. It takes 2 men to move it though!!:money: Martin Lewis Rocks!:money:0 -
Siemens appliances (part of the same group as Bosch) are made in Germany.0

We have Siemens integrated dishwasher from beginning of this year and no problem so far (as I would expect!) Its quiet and efficient and uses much less water than our previous old integrated model which gave up the ghost . Some models will have the 5 year warranty but I believe Siemens are all still made in Germany whereas as you say Bosch and Neff are not all these days 9some in turkey, Spain etc) although top range Bosch should still be
Check out the Ukwhitegoods forum for some proper informed opinions from engineers etc.
Integrated will always be a bit of a compromise as the moving bits are crammed into a smaller space than ususal and there are fewer people making them so less choice and more money.
I would also consider some of the finger print proof stainless steel appliances from Siemens as these look nice without being integrated. We have a fridge freezer in this finish and its a great looking piece of kit
The MSE answer is of course to use your existing appliance for now and maybe buy an extra door panel at the time so you can change to integrated in the future if you want. Throwing out a perfectly good appliance is neither very MSE or enviromentally friendly!!0 -
Thanks for the advice everyone.
I've found this dishwasher online which looks pretty good

The Bosch ones are a similar price give or take about £20 so I'm guessing it'd be best to go for a Siemens?
Would love a Miele but the intergrated ones only have the 1 year guarantee so not worth it all.

Hi
A Miele will last at least twice as long as a Bosch, Neff or Siemens, it will be quieter in operation and do a better job of washing your dishes - no question. We have a Siemens that we use at work and it doesn't compare to the Miele we have at home, it is cheaper but ultimately I think false economy.
Don't worry about the guarantees, its like cars, would you think a Hyundai is better car than a Mercedes because the Hyundai comes with a 7 year guarantee and the Mercedes comes with just 3?
If you can afford a Miele then it will be the most cost effective solution in the long run.
Good luck.

May be the most cost effective solution. problem is when Miele's do go wrong (and they do) parts and labout especially are very very expensive. I would also not buy a Miele with a one year guarantee. I would with a 5 year one
Siemens are a good make per engineers and not a lot else between them and Miele which are usually a lot more expensive than Siemens so in this case the Siemnens looks better value ovverall witha decent warranty
Treacle I wouldn't buy from John Lewis unless they price match as you will find it online at least 10% cheaper (We paid £399 + delivery for the equivalent old model last year) . I would also ask at your local independent if they have any unboxed models which teh manufacturer sometimes sells off. Full guarantee still and should be visually fine (its integrated anyway) but may well be a fair bit cheaper
It washes perfectly fine and easy to use with just enough features without ones you never use (I just use the auto wash each time and delay start). Pretty quiet and filters etc easy get to. Only issue with most integrated ones is there is slightly less height inside them due to the boxing in effect0
