How can I restore a iphone 3g thats been having some problems without updating the software from 3.1.3 to 4.1
Everytime I click resotore in itunes it is saying the newest firmware will be installed.

holding the menu button and power button resets the unit, why don't you want os4 its works fine on the 3gs

The jump in the update will take some time. You can download a program called backup switch which stops the backup from happening. IF YOU USE BACKUP SWITCH TO TURN OFF THE AUTO BACKUP YOU WILL LOSE ALL APPS!Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0
