Wanted New Desktop PC Package - Budget £500

I`m looking for a new desktop PC including a monitor (20" minimum) with a budget of £500.
I`m not bothered about "gaming".
Looked at this Dell for just under £500 including 20" monitor and speakers.

Price says £479 but the speakers make it £496 total including vat and delivery.
Opinions please or any other deals to consider.

Do we assume you would not want to build your own PC starting with a barebones bundle ie a motherboard, cpu and RAM? These days there's not really a price advantage in doing so but at least you get to choose the specific components you want rather than accepting what the pre-builder has given you.
The Dell PC you linked to should be used as your benchmark in researching other options/suppliers as there are always other deals and places you can buy if you shop around. The usual stores recommended on here eg:
Ebuyer
Novatech
Dino PC
Dabs
However, at up to £500 there won't be a great deal of difference in the specifications. One might offer you a faster processor but only a 250GB hard disk. Another might give you 4GB of RAM instead of 2 or 3GB. Some will give you a bigger hard disk but a slower processor etc. It's all swings and roundabouts.
It won't be long until other users on here come along and give their own suggestions. Consider them all but if you still feel that the Dell offers you best value then go for it. After all, it's you who are going to live with it and use it, not us.0 -
Here's a few suggestions. The PC isn't as good as your Dell but the monitor is bigger and the speakers will be better.
Zoostorm PC £313 including delivery from Amazon.

LG 22'' LED monitor £148 including delivery from Ebuyer.

Creative Inspire speakers £37 including delivery from Amazon.

Ebuyer do a 21.5'' monitor for £87 including delivery so you could buy one of those and then spend a bit more on a PC. The possibilities are endless....
