Hi,
We are having a few problems with our fax machine and as it is of a bit of age we are looking into buying a new one. We have seen the all in one printer, scanner, copiers - but do these not have a phone on them? As we would prefer it if there was a phone on it. Do you know of any that fulfil this?

We no longer use "multifunction machies". Only stand alone units. If one part goes wrong (e.g. the printer) you have to send the whole lot off for repair. Then you're without everything.
May or may not be important to you, hjb123. Just something to be remembered.

I always had a Brother multifunction machine as they're reliable and you can get the ink at raesonable/cheap price! Beware of cheap lexmark type stuff as you'll pay dearly for the ink!If i had known then what I know now!0

Thanks for all that. We still cant decide what to do - never thought of the factor that if it broke we would be without the lot! Currently we just have seperate printer (epson r300) and a BT 50 fax machine. We were just wondering whether when we get a new fax whether to get one that scans and prints. We would still keep the Epson as we transfer our digital pics through it - and its soooo much faster than using an USB cable!Weight Loss - 102lb0

That colour Brother one has card slots in it, so you could get get rid of your Epson too!
And it's even cheaper here - £161.90:

If you dont need colour - go for a laser.
This Brother one is pretty good value - might look expensive but you will spend way less on ink than an inkjet.
Its also networkable.
