In Oct 09 I signed up to BT total broadband package which includes phone, broadband and TV.

after reduced initial payments i then found my bill fluctuated alot. my highest bill has been £87 the lowest £57.

I used to pay 14.99 for AOL and £24 for my BT phone = £38.99 so i am so shocked that my bills are so high even though i have TV added on.

My last bill was 69.34 made up of
12.79 unlimited and weekend plan
1.49 friends and family mobile
15.99 broadband
14.99 vision bronze
12.084 phone usage
12.00 broadband usage
= total including VAT = 69.34

There are times when i cannot connect to the broadband and they have also put the prices up.

Any ideas for what i can do to reduce this?

Also just to add that i asked what 10GB of usage meant as i am a student and my children use the internet alot obviously this is not enough. Also i now wonder if watching replay or demand films on the TV takes up broadband usage?

If you are paying a surcharge of £12.08 and £12.00 respectively for excess calls and broadband data usage, then you are clearly on the wrong tariffs. Switch to an Anytime phone tariff (assuming your excess is evening and day usage) which will only add a fiver, and save you £12.00pm Same for your broadband-either upgrade to an option with sufficient download allowance-or just cut your usage.
I would also suggest dumping BT Vison-but no doubt you are locked into that for another 8 or 14 months yet.
AOL to BT was not a good move.
