PCN Over 6 Months Old

Hello Everyone

I just received 2 Penalty Charge Notices - One 5 Months ago and one over 6 months ago.
Does anyone know if i legally need to be served these notices before this time.

I think they need to tell me by 6 months or the PCN can be appealed - Am i right? and if so how do i go about appealing to them?

All help wanted.

Many Thanks

Who are they from? Council/police or someone else?
  • Wandsworth Council
  • Have you moved in the last year?. Have you changed cars in the same time? Is it a hire/lease car?
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • Yes i moved in November last year. Haven't changed cars & own the car outright

You can contact dvla and find out when the council requested your details as far I am concerned they have 14 days from dvla and a further 28 days to issue go to pepioo and post there and they will probably rip it to bits

Take their advice, they know their stuff and should be able to get you off these tickets.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
