I've recently bought my first touch 2nd hand from ebay, sometimes the back button takes awhile to actually work so there is up to 5-6 seconds delay before it actually goes back from whatever it is doing.
Is this normal or is it abit faulty? Its a 2nd Generation touch if that affects anything.

Sounds more like memory issues, Install the latest os and delete any crap there might be on it. Had a similar problem with iphone 3 when it got too many messages0
