Last minute Christmas sun holiday

Hubby and I are thinking of not buying each other Christmas presents at all this year and trying to get last minute sun holiday over Christmas holiday...

Do you think we have any chance? Or do they normally go before they have a chance to go on sale?

And is there anything else apart from Egypt and Canaries that we should include on our list of possible places to go for tan and swim?

Ie somewhere warm enough and not needing any kind of Visa (Goa & Gambia do need Visa).

I've been 3 years ago and we did need them...
It was only a piece of paper for few dollars, but it had to be sent for...

hey, i think there is every chance of getting a last minute deal for christmas... last year we were booked to go to benidorm for 2 weeks over christmas and 2 days before we were due to fly,our tour operator went bust.. we were left trying to find a super fast alternative and travel republic came to the recue with a week to gran canaria for under £800 for a family of 5
