Reduced family rail card????

Hi fellow savers,

Is there any way of getting family rail card reduced from 26 pounds? Fine of my pals intend to go to colchester on holiday next week and rail card will help reduce the fare considerably.

They are using this once as they will be traveling back home by month ending.

Any one???

If you are buying your Railcard online we will despatch it within one working day, and send it free by First Class post. We are dependent on the postal service so please allow FIVE working days for your Railcard to arrive. You won’t be able to collect your Railcard from a rail station.

Aren't you supposed to be a family to use a family railcard. Not just pals.

The Family Railcard got renamed Family and Friends Railcard, so you don't need to be a family to use it, just have at least 1x adult and 1x child.

Problem is you don't qualify for the 25% discount if you buy at a station.

Thanks for sharing that - I forgot to renew the freebie Daily mail one this year, and we used last years one many, many timesm taking DD back and forth to London for days out.

Ordered a 16-25 railcard (via same parent website as Family and Friends railcard) on Tuesday night 14th and it arrived today (Friday 17th), so it only takes a couple of days to arrive.
