:(About a month ago I parked in a retail park car park next to a van that was parked over the line.To avoid damage to my car I was forced to go over the next bay.Iwas issued with PCN from private firm UKPC? today sent me a letter requesting double the original charge or else send a debt collector.Are they genuine company or bogus?What shall my next step be?do I pay or appeal?

Do not contact them at all.
It's not a PCN, its just an invoice. See this thread for the letters you will receive.
Debt collectors are not bailiffs, and have no power to do anything other than beg for money.
Ignore them and they will eventually go away.0 -
