thank you all for the replies...tim L i totally agree with you about not buying a new car and i always buy nearly new...the car im buying is a mercedes c180 with only 9000 miles on the clock and with many extras...a new one would have cost me £25000. I also agree that you can get many cars for a cheaper price but i believe you only get what you pay for.... my last car was a VW Golf wich i bought from a friend with 5000 miles on the clock and 3 years later i discovered that it was write off when i bought it after an accident which my alleged friend did not tell me about and because i was buying from a friend i did not bother doing hpi check and i sold it 3 years later for nearly nothing...since then i decided i will only buy from a dealer for my peace of mind even though im paying a bit more...at the end life is too short and we have to enjoy it while we can.0
