Does my second child get first child's benefit?

Now that my 18 year old is looking for work, I am no longer entitled to receive child benefit for him.. Does my second child, therefore, 'move up' the benefit ladder and, as such, do I get £20 per week for him....replacing the lower figure I got for him, as second child, before the changes?
I have asked around and get different answers.
