[STRIKE]Sorry flower, today's answer begins with 'k' ...
not sure if that means the answer is Khazakhstan or Kurdistan (although not techinically a country in it's own right)

The text says "each day's question or its answer will tie in with a letter of the alphabet. Today it's K" Note "question or answer". The K link today is with Khachaturian.
The answer is probably, as One-Eye says, Armenia, which is where Khachaturian came from.
(Kolkhoz is not a country, it's a form of collective farming)0 -

From the web page:-
To celebrate the launch of The A-Z of Classic FM Music, each day's question or its answer will tie in with a letter of the alphabet.
Most of the answers have been alphabetical so far, but note that it could be the question that relates to the letter of the alphabet.
Yesterday "J" the answer was "The Cunning Little Vixen" the composer being Janacek.
Today "K" refers to the composer "Khachaturian", the answer is "Armenia".
