Mobility Car

My DLA is due to be renewed. My medical condition is the same, if anything its worse. But my big fear is, with all the cutbacks, they may stop my car, which I am dependent on. If this was to happen but a relation was able to pay the car cost to the mobility people would I be able to keep it. Thanks for your help.

If you are entitled to the HRM element of DLA then you are entitled to the motobility car.
You have previously been advised that there are no cutbacks to DLA.
If you weren't entitled to the HRM then you wouldn't be entitled to the car and there is no scenario where a relative could pay the lease charge.
If it came to it and you were no longer eligible for the HRM then your relative could pay the lease on a car but it wouldn't be a motobility car.0 -

If you lose your high rate DLA (mob) you would have to take the car back to the dealer if you wanted to buy the car, they would get in contact with motability ask for a price from motability then you have the option to purchase it.depression wrote: »My DLA is due to be renewed. If you obtain the higher rate of DLA you will keep the car.
If you do not maintained that level of benefit you will not quality for the car.
Motability only accept payment via DLA, which is why their vehicles/contracts are not means tested
Bit blunt but hope that answers your query0
