Buildings insurance - a query please

If there are any experts - We have had buildings and contents insurance with the AA for several years now and it seems very high compared with other insurers that Ive just checked out.
Point being, say in the case of subsidence (and this is theoretical as Im not aware of any such problem), you insure with a new insurer, cracks appear and the new insurer says, this is a long term thing due to - roots, drying out of land, or whatever which started before your policy was taken out. Would they be able to wriggle out of paying up for it?

No you should not have a problem, but you might be referred back to previous Insurers, the claim may be shared. It depends on when any subsidence was detected.
If you google ABI Subsidence agreement, there is loads of information, you can read about this. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0
