I got my Roald Dahl CDs Today... Fantstic... I found out about the bookpeople on another thread... have since got loads and loads of stuff from the... Have a whole collection of lovely books to give a gifts, all bargins...

I've ordered from the Book People for many years now and have never had a problem with their customer service. Always helpful and polite, if I've reported a problem or discrepancy, it's been sorted quick-smart without a fuss.

Was going to get a couple of books fron their latest catalogue and with free p&p I thought it was a bargain. Then I read the smallprint "Free p&p does not apply to Scotland, Northern Ireland and Channel Islands" Sorry for living somewhere so remote as Scotland. Guess where the Book Peole can stick their books?

I used to work at The Red House , quite a few years ago,(complete with red windows!!!!) i loved it . It was a great company when i started so many little perks (cost price books heaven). It was privately owned and was bought by scolastic which in my eyes was a real shame as it lost its friendly, family, company ethos.
