Bigging up thebookpeople

Options
Hi

We have received some excellent books for our little girl from thebookpeople, really very very cheap books, the idea was to hide them away until Christmas, but they got 'discovered' last night. Anyway, I thought I would pass on a link to a page where I think the listings are unbeatable for kids books - the idea is to have a frugal Xmas this year and so all children in the family will get books as gifts this year.

Yep, the book people do lovely stuff. Particularly the usborne books which are a fraction of the normal price. Remember you can order on line, and if you check the codes and coupons forum, there are often free P+P codes to be found.:j
Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞
  • There is another website also doing books at very cheap prices. https://www.index-books.com
If you quote the reference SM092-LE you get a further 2.5% discount

We've had loads of books from them and their prices have always been unbeatable.

I placed another order with them recently and was impressed at how their delivery times have improved from weeks to a few days.

Definitely recommend the Usborne books they just seem to be better than most others. I'd recommend boxsets if you're buying as when it's a pick'n'mix some are absolutely dire entertainment.

I bumped into one of those playgroup Usborne book promo things a few months ago - never buy at them - and chatted to the woman selling the books. Anyway she was selling at retail price (£3.99) a book which I'd bought in a boxset of 20 which retailed at £79.99 and the BookPeople had sold to me for £9.99. She looked very green after hearing that.

I can only say my experience is exactly the opposite, they've always been very good.
  • In case anyone's interested here's the boxset I mentioned I highly recommend it and it's great day or bed time reading worth every penny of £12.99 for 20 books

I would agree with that - I order from them regularly and on one occasion, a book was missing. I phoned customer services to let them know and i received a replacement book the next day!
  • I concur...the BP have been brilliant with me *touches wood*. And all with fantastically low prices..!
