My Reid Furniture suite has woodworm

Reid Furniture are refusing to refund the £2,800 I spent on a Paloma Group Italian leather suite which they sold me and which, 2 years after I bought it, came out in holes through the leather, caused by a large woodworm beetle (indentified as a House Longhorn by a timber specialist). Another hole appeared 2 years later and on removing the leather covering, exposed timber framework with 10mm x 5mm holes where the beetles had emerged. The 3 insects are somewhere in my house and Reids are not interested, in fact they are of the opinion that since I have no evidence of the beetle, then they cannot help. The life cycle of the insect according to the specialist means it was in the suite when I bought it but Reids say they have no record of such faults therefore are dismissing my claim. All they have done is send a Technican to remove the leather covering to look at it. Has anyone had anything like this happened to them - do I have any chance of getting my money back? I have been trying for over 2 years to get Reid Furniture to accept responsibility but they keep refusing.
