    What's a 597 code then?

I thought all geographical numbers started with 01 or 02.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • yeah sorry old number was 0191 388 which is local now 0191 597 must be tt numbers
  • I feel your pain. I had almost the same rubbish service from Talk Talk - having been a customer for about 7 years! I have a similar thread "Another Talk Talk shambles/calmity". Still trying to sort it 1 month later. Trust me, stick to BT.

Totally agree, its just the worst company in the UK as far as im concerned. And watch out for the talk talk rep who will come on to your thread and say "wow this is really bad. Join the Talk Talk forum and we will try and resolve it..........."
