New Tax Credit Claim

Want to make a claim for Tax Credits (if eligible). Not sure whether i should be making a single or joint claim. I have a partner and child but do not live with my partner. I live in my own accomodation and pay all bills associated with the property. He makes no contribution towards this. He lives in his own accomodation and pays all his own bills. He does stay over at my house 2 nights per week - does this count as living together? I don't receive any regular child maintenance payments for our child from him - do recieve some contribution towards clothes.
Any advise would be appreciated

For Tax Credit purposes I dont think he is considered to be living with you.0

Make a single claim, you don't live together. Any money paid as maintenance is ignored for tax credit purposes.0

You're single for Tax Credits purposes. To be classed as a couple you need to be living together as if you were married, sharing financial commitments etc0
