£1000 to save

Hi, i have £1000 to put away but i dont know the best place, whether it be isa,bonds etc etc. id like to be able to take money out if i ever need it. Any recommondations.

An Isa would be the place to start. Santander have one paing 2.75%. If you're a non-taxbayer then you might be as well doing an instant access saving account, the AA pay 2.8% and it would be less hastle than Santander.
If you can find some more money on a regular basis then a regular saving acc would be the thing to consider (you can get up to 5%), then pay the saved amount into your Isa once a year.
