Split poles for Horizon 6 Tent(Gelert)

I have only had this tent 5 weeks and on the third time of use, two of the poles split. We have contacted B&Q who we bought it off, and they say they cant get spare poles and there is no further stock of the tent to exchange it. Kindly, they have offered a full refund - however... we have also purchased, from a different source, the footprint ground sheet, carpet and porch and so we are reluctant to have a refund. I did a lot of research prior to purchase and this sounded like an ideal tent for our needs, and certainly the three trips we have used the tent have been more than satisfactory.
A couple of questions I would be very grateful for feedback:
Any ideas where I can get spare poles from and is this a common problem?? I am awaiting a response from Gelert but I have heard that they do not deal with the general public, only distributors.
Are B&Q liable to pay for replacement poles if I source them from elsewhere?
Thanks in advance.
Does the carpet/footprint and porch fit any other make of tent?

Why do you not get the full refund from B&Q, then buy the Horizon 6 tent elsewhere.
Halfords are currently offering 15% off all camping so the tent would cost you £169.99, they are also offering a £10 voucher when you spend over £50.
Good luck

Thank you Sam! Great bargain! I have got one :j however, should the problem arise again, it would be helpful to know if there is a stockist of poles!0

Havent had this with your tent but did manage to get poles from any camping specialist. They were in a std length which was too long, but just needed cutting off a bit. All joined together, lopped of about 5 inches and had spare poles. Any colour. Google camping supplies and they should be there.0

Just type Gelert poles into Google, lots of places sell them.
Outdoor gear sell various thicknesses

most camping shops will sell replacement poles. Just taken a broken one with you to make sure you get the correct size or try contacting the makers. Sometime they'll send out a pole.
it's just a pian the proverbal trying to rethread the poles!!0 -
Thank you all for your advice. I am so glad I used this forum. B&Q have not only given me a full refund, they didnt want the Tent returned. So..... I cancelled the Halfords order, and I will get a replacement pole - O the joys of MSE... You are all great! Big up to B&Q as well for their good customer service.0
